Somatic Care + Integenerational Money Work

“"You can't heal it until you feel it"”
- Dr. Mariel Buqué , author of Break the Cycle: A Guide to Healing Intergenerational Trauma

You think about money more than you’d like to admit.

You do mental math in your head while grocery shopping. You calculate future expenses before saying yes to dinner. If you’re honest, your relationship to money feels a bit like a bill collector whose calls you’re avoiding — persistent, stressful, impossible to ignore.

Your body lets you know before your mind does. Tight chest. Racing thoughts. A wave of dread when you open your banking app.

And you know this didn’t start with you.

You carry the stories of parents who sacrificed everything. Of immigration. Of instability. Of “we don’t talk about money” or “we don’t waste money” or “we can’t afford mistakes.” You learned to push yourself. To be responsible. To succeed.

But pushing harder hasn’t created ease.

Instead, there’s shame. Avoidance. Overwhelm. Sleepless nights. A quiet fear that you should have figured this out by now.

And still - you want something different.

You want to create your own money legacy. You want less sececy and more self-trust. You want to talk about money without spiraling. You want your nervous system to feel safe in the presence of it.

You don’t just want more money.

You want a different relationship with money.

Welcome to Liberated Care!

Hi, I’m Candice!

If thinking about money makes your palms sweat or your brain go into overdrive, you're in the right place.

I create a space where you can face your relationship with money—and the feelings around it—without shame or judgment. Together, we’ll untangle what’s holding you back, explore how family, culture, and past experiences shape your money habits, and start building trust in your choices, step by step.

I offer somatic therapy too—this just means we work with the body as well as the mind, noticing how stress, tension, or old patterns show up physically, so you can feel more grounded and in control. You’ll come away with practical tools and strategies so money feels less like a stressful topic for you.

I provide therapy that fits your life—online, flexible, and always mindful of your culture, background, and all the layers of your identity. We’ll move at a pace that feels steady and supportive, building clarity and confidence along the way.

If this feels like the right space for you, let’s connect—book a 30-minute initial consult today.

Somatic + Relational Work

  • Reconnecting with your body can be challenging, especially if trauma has made it feel unsafe or unfamiliar. In individual therapy, we slow down together to gently notice what your body is communicating, making space for your experience without rushing to fix it. This somatic approach helps uncover the stories and wisdom your body holds, opening new possibilities for healing and growth.

  • I support couples and duos exploring disconnection and connection in relationships. Together, we slow down to navigate communication challenges, trust issues, shifting roles, and conflict, creating space for clarity and deeper connection.

This work includes romantic partners, friends, siblings, or collaborators.

  • A space for BIPOC professionals in education, healthcare, HR, social impact, and organizational equity roles to access support and care.

This mentorship space attends to the deeper, often unspoken layers that shape your work and wellbeing — including money trauma, the emotional toll of care and institutional labour, and systemic inequities that rarely get named or fairly compensated.

It is for anyone who wants to relate to work, money, and wellbeing differently. Together, we rebuild boundaries and focus on sustainable practices that support your wellbeing.

  • My facilitation is relational, reflective, and liberatory. I help participants connect their lived experiences to systemic critiques, affirm their instincts, and imagine new pathways — all while gently guiding them toward community and self-preservation.

I consult and partner with organizations to design trauma-informed, equity-centered learning experiences that foster connection and growth.

In addition, I offer onsite embedded mental health support services for wellness spaces with a somatic approach.
