It is very common to feel unsure about where to begin! If you are interested in exploring my work, I recommend starting with a free Vibe Check (initial consultation). During this conversation, we candiscuss what you are looking for, the challenges you are navigating, and together, we can determine whether individual therapy, couples work, financial therapy, or a strategy session is the best fit for your current needs.
-
After we have our free Vibe Check, if we both feel like we are aligned and want to work together, I will message you through the booking portal with a consent form. After you have signed off, you will be able to access my appointment times and book our first session together. I invite questions by email after the initial consultation.

I do not bill insurance directly. I am a Canadian Certified Counsellor (member #11253598) and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) (license #18582) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Many extended health benefit plans in Ontario cover my services, though coverage varies by provider. I recommend checking your specific plan for coverage under "Psychotherapy" or "Counselling," and I am happy to provide receipts for your insurance claims. Once payment is made, you are issued an invoice that you can submit to your insurance company. My credentials will be listed on the invoice.

I charge $185 for 50 minute individual sessions and $200 for couples/duos sessions. I do not offer sliding scale at this time. If you are a Black girl or woman, you can access 9 free therapy sessions with me through the Black Women Institute of Health if you are located within Canada. Please email to let me know a little about what brings you to therapy and if we decide to work together, I will email you my referral code for the Black Women Institute of Health.

I ask all clients to add a credit card to their client file for immediate payment. You can also choose to pay by e-transfer. As payment is due the same day as the appointment, I would ask that you also have a credit card on file.

At this time, I only offer virtual sessions for clients located in Canada. To stay connected about any changes to my practice, please consider joining the newsletter subscriber list called Reclaiming Mondays, which is my monthly newsletter.

My clients are often high-functioning, insightful, and emotionally aware individuals who feel there is a specific piece of their emotional or relationship puzzle they are still trying to solve. They may be navigating self-trust issues or seeking to understand the root causes of their money stories. Or maybe they are going through a romantic breakup or a friendship breakup and want more insight about how to do relationships better.
As a relational and somatic therapist, I offer a container that is anti-oppressive, culturally-attuned, trauma-informed, and body-based. We work together to bridge the gap between your awareness and your lived experience, moving at a pace that honors your nervous system.

At this time, my practice is primarily set up to serve clients residing in Canada, due to the regulatory requirements of my professional licensure. If you are located outside of Ontario or Canada, please reach out to me directly at carewithcandice@gmail.com. We can discuss your specific situation, as my ability to offer services depends on your current location and the nature of the support you are seeking. While I may not be able to provide psychotherapy, we can discuss whether other services like a strategy session could still be a good fit for your needs.
