Financial Therapy &
Somatic Money Work
in Toronto, Ontario
Supporting you to break intergenerational cycles, process money anxiety, and expand your capacity to navigate money conversations with ease
Silence amplifies shame.
And when it comes to money, most of us have been silent for a long time.
Maybe your mind races every time you open your banking app. Maybe you do mental math before saying yes to plans. Maybe you carry the weight of what you grew up watching — and worry quietly about repeating it.
Here's what I want you to know: that shame? It likely isn't fully yours. It was shaped by systems that were never transparent, people in our early lives doing their best with what they had, and a culture that makes people feel personally responsible for structurally unequal outcomes.
You don't have to carry it alone anymore.
This work is collaborative. You bring what you want to explore and what you want to change — and together we figure out what's underneath it.
We start by slowing down. Before anything else, we notice what your body does when money comes up. The tight chest. The avoidance. The racing thoughts. That's not weakness — that's information. And it's exactly where we begin.
From there we work through layers together — your origin story, what you first learned about money in your early relationships, the systems that shaped what felt possible for you. As a Trauma of Money Certified™ practitioner, I bring a specialized lens to this work — one that holds the emotional, somatic, and systemic dimensions of your money story together. I share resources along the way — books, somatic practices, frameworks — so you're never waiting for a session to feel less alone in this.
The goal isn't to make you comfortable with money overnight. It's to slowly widen your capacity to sit with money conversations, make money decisions, and reach for a different story — without your nervous system shutting you down.
You can explore some of the reflections in my blog here.
The work is specifically designed for anyone who experiencing money stress, financial anxiety, or grappling with scarcity mindset and feels ready to stop carrying money stories that were never fully theirs to begin with.
Here is how we move through it together:
We trace where your money story began
We map where you want to go and what relief actually feels like in your body
We gently increase your capacity to sit with money conversations
We uncover what is really underneath the avoidance or anxiety
You leave with new language, more body awareness, and a story that is finally yours — one that honours where you came from while making room for where you are going
Why money therapy?
My Approach
Money touches everything: your sense of safety, your ability to rest, your relationships (including the one with yourself), and even your self-worth.
And yet, most of us were never taught how to engage with money in a way that actually feels good. We carry intergenerational trauma, systemic harm, and inherited beliefs into our bank accounts… and then we blame ourselves when things feel chaotic, disconnected, or out of sync.
My approach to this work is informed by my certification as a Trauma of Money™ practitioner, a framework that looks at money in the context of systems and adopts a shame-free lens. We carry the stories we inherited as well as the many messages from our education systems, banks, and the many layers connected to societal pressures. If you are curious to learn more, check out some of my reflections in my blogs.

Financial planners and money support services focus on how to manage your money. They don’t get to the feelings and don’t always offer a trauma lens. I focus on your relationship to money — how you relate to it, what it represents to you, what you were taught about money. We look at why your nervous system might view money as dangerous, where your scarcity mindset originated, and how your family's history—especially for those with an immigrant background—shapes your financial nervous system today.

Yes, many clients come to me because they want to look at the root causes or explore intergenerational patterns. They often feel stuck—perhaps pressured to overwork, struggling with spending guilt, or feeling trapped by a scarcity mindset. There are often unspoken rules about how money 'should' be handled, and scripts we’ve inherited that we haven't had a chance to examine yet. Ultimately, my clients want to build a relationship with money that feels like their own. This work is for anyone looking to understand their history, gain more agency, better understand financial anxiety, and experience more freedom in their life.
