When Your Hormones are Not a Side Note
A live conversation about hormonal mental health for Black women and changing bodies
Saturday, November 7th @ 1 pm ET · Live on Zoom
Mood, sleep, focus, patience, motivation — all of it moves with your hormones. But when you bring that up, you get handed an anxiety diagnosis, a prescription, or a shrug. The hormonal piece gets treated like a footnote to your mental health instead of part of the story.
You might be interested in this if you're tired of explaining yourself to providers who don't believe you and don’t get it.
This session is a space to talk about what's actually hard about this era of hormonal change, and what's actually helping. No performing wellness, no pretending you have it figured out.
You'll leave with a few concrete resources to take with you, not a to-do list.
This is a low-demand space. You bring what you have, and that's enough.
The lens offered
This session is part of Liberated Rhythms — a series of live sessions rooted in cycle-aligned life design and somatic care. We gather on Saturday afternoons, timed with the New Moon, and practice something different than what we've been taught. And we get to talk about money, because the body and bank account are not separate conversations.

Registration opens late September.
This November session is the first of a small series continuing into early 2027. Join the newsletter and you'll hear when spots open.
While you wait, the Low Capacity Scripts guide has language you can use when you have very little left to give — at work, with family, and at the doctor's office.
The Backstory
Hello! Why I’m creating space to talk about hormonal health x mental health
I didn’t create Liberated Rhythms because I have it all perfectly figured out. I created it because I grew tired of trying to force a Black body with all kinds of capacity ups and downs into a rigid structure.
I know what it feels like to navigate burnout, to face medical dismissal, and to watch your energy shift from week to week while trying to manage a life and a bank account.
My focus isn’t about teaching you how to hustle harder or fix yourself. It’s about creating a soft place to land where you can figure out how to befriend your body. I bring my training in somatic care and systemic trauma to the table, but you bring the truths about your experience. We get to practice something different than what we’ve been taught together.
