Designing Life Around Your Body

An invitation to practice cycle-aligned life design together. For Black women and changing bodies.

Maybe you've been tracking your cycle. Or managing a diagnosis. Or recovering from something — an injury, burnout, a season that asked too much.

And somewhere in all of that, you started to wonder: what am I actually supposed to do with this information about my body? How do I build a life — and maybe a business — that works with my body instead of against it?

Meanwhile, the world keeps demanding your labour. You still have to make dinner, be the boss or explain yourself to a boss, get dressed, show up for your relationships and interact with the public.

But your body and your capacity keep fluctuating. You experience medical gaslighting and dismissal. You roll your eyes at the whole directive to speak to your doctor. Not because you don't need medical care but because you have tried, and it hasn't gone well.

Liberated Rhythms exists for that gap.

WHAT THIS IS

An Invitation to Practice Together

Liberated Rhythms is a series of live practice sessions rooted in cycle-aligned life design, somatic care. This is where we use ecosystems as a lens for health.

These sessions are timed with the New Moon — the phase of intention and consolidation. We gather on Saturday afternoons, live on Zoom, and we practice something different than what we've been taught.

And we get to talk about money. Because the body and bank account are not separate conversations.

NEXT SESSION

September New Moon Practice Session

Saturday, September 12, 2026 · 1:00–2:30 PM ET · Live on Zoom

A 90-minute live practice session where we work with what your body is actually telling you — not against it. We'll use the ecosystem lens to explore why complexity is a sign of health, why rest is an active state, and what it looks like to design your life around your real capacity.

We'll move through somatic check-ins, cycle-rhythm mapping, and leave with a body-aligned intention for the month ahead.

This is a low-demand space — you bring what you have, and that's enough.

Spots are limited.

COMING IN NOVEMBER

The Full Practice: A 3-hour Intensive

Date and time coming soon · Live on Zoom

In November, we go deeper. A 3-hour live session structured around the ecosystem framework — understanding why your body feels the way it does, practicing somatic mapping, and leaving with a concrete, cycle-aligned plan for the month ahead.

This is also when the Community Rest Fund begins — 10% of the session's revenue goes directly to a Black health practitioner nominated by the community. Because care shouldn't be a luxury, and healers shouldn't have to burn out to help us heal.

Registration details coming soon.

The Backstory

Candice Frederick, somatic therapist and founder of Liberated Rhythms membership
Hello!

Why I’m building a life design space for Black women and changing bodies

I didn’t create Liberated Rhythms because I have it all perfectly figured out. I created it because I grew tired of trying to force a Black body with all kinds of capacity ups and downs into a rigid structure.

I know what it feels like to navigate burnout, to face medical dismissal, and to watch your energy shift from week to week while trying to manage a life and a bank account.

My focus isn’t about teaching you how to hustle harder or fix yourself. It’s about creating a soft place to land where you can figure out how to befriend your body. I bring my training in somatic care and systemic trauma to the table, but you bring the truths about your experience. We get to practice something different than what we’ve been taught together.
